Chronic Illness
When dealing with a chronic illness (prolonged symptoms lasting more than 12 months) it is important to test for root causes of the chronic illness to aid in your recovery. Chronic illness can include autoimmune disorders, long-term diagnoses, neurological diseases, gastrointestinal conditions, and cancer.
Root Causes: Root causes of chronic illness include bacteria and infections not commonly tested in traditional medicine, fungi, mold toxicity, heavy metals, parasites, amalgams, and toxin build up in the body.
Testing for Root Causes: When testing for root causes of an illness you want to test your internal environment (your body), and then test your external environment (home, work, school, church, gym, etc) to determine where your exposure is coming from.
See the labs section to learn where to order these tests. Once you receive your lab results consult with a functional/holistic practitioner to guide you through recovery.
Autoimmune Disorders - autoimmune disorders often develop after gastrointestinal lining is compromised by H.Pylori and leaky gut, leading to inflammation leaking into our lymphatic system, and following mold exposure from water damaged buildings. Specific autoimmune disorders related to arthritis are linked to low grade infections such as mycoplasma.
If you have an autoimmune disorder, it is helpful to test for mold in your body, toxins, a complete stool test to start.
Neurological Diseases - neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, dementia, ALS, and Alzheimer’s disease are just some of the neurological diseases often linked to toxin and bacteria exposure that in turn lead to cell damage and the dysfunction of our internal system.
Gastrointestinal Conditions – 80% of our immune system is in our intestines. Damaged intestines is a precursor to chronic illness. Maintaining optimal gastrointestinal health is a key to preventing and recovering from chronic illness. See the labs section to determine which tests to order for gastrointestinal issues.
Cancer – cancerous cells and tumors spreading throughout the body can be linked to toxin build up resulting in cell damage. See the labs section to determine which tests to order to support you in achieving remission from cancer.
Resources for Cancer – There are many organizations focused on helping people achieve remission from cancer.

Mold Toxicity
What is mold toxicity
How does it happen? Mold needs a moisture source. Without moisture it cannot develop or spread. In order to fix your home you need to test inside the drywall behind every moisture source, keep track of water incidents in the house, and if possible, talk to previous owners to see if they had any water leaks. Previously remediated
Who should test your home: IEP (a certified indoor environmental professional)
How to test your home: Based on your home history, your IEP will determine which tests are needed and where.
How to heal your body: remove yourself from exposure, get clean water, get clean air, and clean food. Along with supporting all organs of your body with nutrition and supplements and taking binders to remove the mold from your body. It is strongly recommended that you work with a functional doctor/practitioner who can oversee your progress.
